We believe that world-class research and industrial breakthroughs require instrumentation you can trust implicitly. We specialise in delivering high-performance electrochemical measurement solutions designed for total control and unparalleled accuracy, with life-long expert-level technical support.
We are proud to be the exclusive distributor for Ivium Technologies in Australia and New Zealand. By partnering with a global leader in potentiostats/galvanostats, and advanced battery cyclers, we bring cutting-edge, versatile testing capabilities directly to your laboratory.
We know that no two research projects are exactly the same, which is why we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Whether you are conducting field measurements with a portable device, or driving energy storage breakthroughs with a high-power potentiostat, or running multiple experiments in parallel on a multi-channel system, our goal is to understand your unique technical requirements. We strive to fit the exact right instrument to each customer, ensuring you get the performance you need without paying for features you don't.
Our commitment to your success doesn't end at delivery. Investing in precision hardware is a long-term commitment, and so is our partnership with you. We pride ourselves on providing expert, highly responsive local support for the entire lifetime of your instrument. From initial setup and technical training to ongoing troubleshooting, Redcat Scientific is always just a phone call away to keep your testing running flawlessly.

Ross brings over a decade of deep technical expertise across fundamental and applied electrochemistry, from both the frontlines in the lab and the support role of potentiostat development. As an Electrochemical Specialist in the Ivium technical sales and support team for the past four years, he matched complex testing requirements with high-precision instrumentation, as well as providing expert support. During his time at Ivium, he helped develop next-generation instruments, software techniques, and data analysis methods. His technical background spans key areas in energy and catalysis: electrochemical water oxidation catalysis as a Marie Curie Fellow at Leiden University in the Netherlands; next-generation energy storage solutions with a focus on redox flow battery technology as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Lancaster University UK; and hydrogen evolution catalysis during his PhD studies at the University of Otago NZ. Before all of that, he was starting his electrochemistry journey in small town New Zealand learning about an ox and a red cat. Today, that same respect for the fundamentals, as well as first-hand experience of new electrochemical frontiers, drives Redcat Scientific’s mission to support cutting-edge innovation across Australia and New Zealand.
